About
Beautiful English needlework on silk depicts a lady in a garden with her spaniel. The oval composition is placed under eglomise painted glass, framed in a gilt wood beaded frame.
The composition is inspired by miniature work deemed "Fidelity" English painter Richard Cosway (1742-1821). Cosway's miniatures were replicated in different mediums, including lithography prints and stipple engravings.
