Oil on canvas painting titled “Trotsky in prison” depicts a prison cell, where Leon Trotsky is standing while 2 gendarmes are in the room. By the look of the sitting gendarme uniform, and the plethora of books scattered in the room, the scene most probably takes place during Trotsky's first exile. Signed lower right in Cyrillic and dated (19)51.
