A compact 19th-century cast iron safe, manufactured by C. H. Griffiths & Sons, London. The front bears a recessed door with original rosette handle, nameplate medallion, and mechanical lock panel. The firm's name appears on the round plaque "C. H. GRIFFITHS & SONS, 43 CANNON STREET, LONDON, E.C." and internal hardware: in raised lettering on the lock lapel and on the interior drawer handle. Black-painted body with brass fittings – original finish and fittings preserved, with surface wear consistent with age and use. The key is missing, the safe can be used as a small storage unit.
