American silver-plated cocktail shaker of hourglass form, New York, circa 1930. Constructed with a clear glass body enclosed within a silver-plated metal frame, with circular top and base plates connected by four vertical supports. The removable silver-plated lid incorporates a screw-fit cap. The base is stamped "Maxwell-Phillip Co. Inc. New York, M-P, Pat. Pend." The shaker is preserved in good vintage condition, with light surface wear consistent with age and use.

Maxwell-Phillip Co. Inc. was an American manufacturer active in New York during the early 20th century, producing silver-plated barware, tableware, and cocktail equipment. The firm is documented for modernist and novelty cocktail shakers and accessories produced during the interwar period. The Pat. Pend. marking indicates production during the period prior to the formal grant of a U.S. design or utility patent, consistent with dating to the late 1920s–1930s.
