Set of six Indian miniature-style paintings on marble. The plaques are finely painted in polychrome and gilt detail and individually framed in later black and gilt-decorated frames. The subjects combine Hindu religious and Indo-Mughal courtly imagery. Two plaques depict Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu deity, while two show rulers or noble figures seated in court interiors with attendants. The remaining two depict elephants in animated compositions, reflecting the long tradition of elephant subjects in Mughal and Rajput painting.
