Rococo style porcelain casket of rectangular shape with domed lid, mounted in a gilt metal frame with applied escutcheon and hinge mounts. Each porcelain panel, including the inner side of the lid, is adorned with hand-painted scenes depicting courting couples in pastoral landscapes, framed by gilt scrollwork and crowns, set against a turquoise scale-patterned ground. The box is lined with red velvet, key is included. Preserved in great antique condition.
