About

Pair of Mid-Century desks in Rococo Revival style, after designs popular during Louis XV. Identical, double-sided, with curved tops and openings, each features three drawers. Each desk rests on four cabriole legs with bronze claw feet. The edges, drawers handles, front opening and sides are mounted with bronze of same kind, in distinctive Rococo scroll & foliage motifs. The wooden frame is lacquered in black. The table tops feature red Moroccan hide incerts, adorned with gilt embossing. In good vintage condition, minor vissible wear on the lacquer surface and on the leather incerts. Occasional bronze patina due to natural aging. Keys are missing.
