Pair of Mid-Century handmade armchairs with metal frames and distinctive Yoruba Beading. The metal frames are covered all over in geometrical rhombus patterns using red, black, and blueish-grey beads.

Very good vintage condition with visible wear on certain areas. Small imperfections in beading are natural result of a hand-made work.

Traditionally used by Yoruba kings and queens in Nigeria, this beading technique has a long history in Yoruba tradition. Each chair takes approximately 3 months to complete, resulting in a functional and strong piece of art.
