A studio glass paperweight by Okra Glass, dated 1988, of hemispherical form, decorated with flowing internal ribbon motifs in red and blue tones with iridescent highlights. Polished flat base, inscribed “Okra 88”.
Okra Glass, London, was founded in 1979 by Richard Golding. Okra Glass is a British studio glass workshop known for hand-blown vessels and paperweights characterised by complex internal patterning, rich colour layering, and controlled surface effects. Production has remained small-scale and studio-based, with each piece individually made and often dated or inscribed.
