Remarkable photographic record, a photo book printed in Iraq. Though the author is not stated on the title page, the photographs are attributed to the renowned British explorer Harry St John Philby, who journeyed through Iraq and Saudi Arabia in 1917, capturing thousands of images.
The book is divided into four sections: Groups and Portraits, Local Events, Views, and A Tour Through Central Arabia, each filled with numerous black-and-white photographs accompanied by captions in both English and Arabic.
Bound in brown cloth boards, with an illustrated title on the front and Arabic script on the back, complemented by pale blue endpapers.
