Textile wall decoration produced in India, hand-painted in a style inspired by Japanese ink painting and screen compositions. The restrained palette, linear brushwork, and asymmetrical arrangement reflect East Asian aesthetic principles adapted for mid-20th-century interior decor.

The reverse retains original labels and stamps, including “Handpainted in India – Specially for Poultons Designers”, along with textile manufacturer marks from Indu Mills, India, referencing mercerised dyed poplin fabric from the Maharani line. Newly framed.
