A Dutch Rococo linen press cabinet dating to the 18th century, constructed in two sections. The upper cabinet has a shaped architectural crest above a pair of panelled doors, opening to a fitted shelved interior. The lower bombe-form section is fitted with three graduated drawers and raised on carved feet. The pale blue painted surface is enriched with parcel-gilt mouldings and carved ornament, including ribbon-tied portrait medallions, foliate scrollwork, classical profile masks, and decorative gilt-metal escutcheons and handles. The cabinet has been fully restored, with areas of the painted surface renewed and the gilt decoration refreshed.
