Set of plaster intaglios framed under glass in a hexagonal frame covered with brown marbled ‘Spanish wave’ paper. Each cameo is surmounted in brass and depicts Greco-Roman personalities and mythological scenes. The large round intaglio in the center depicts Jupiter, as the equivalent of the Greek Zeus.

Plaster Intaglios from the 19th Century are miniature souvenirs carried back by travelers on Grand Tours.
