Set of plaster intaglios framed under glass in a hexagonal frame covered with blue marbled ‘Spanish wave’ paper. Each cameo is surmounted in brass and depicts Greco-Roman personalities and mythological scenes, such as a portrait of Socrates, two rectangular plates with Centaurs, and the central round intaglio with Aphrodite and Cupid.

Plaster Intaglios from the 19th Century are miniature souvenirs carried back by travelers on Grand Tours.
