About
Two hand-built stoneware vases decorated with botanical impressions taken from wild plants and flowers gathered at Petersham Nurseries. Each surface is detailed with naturalistic forms of meadow flora – clover, daisy, fern, dandelion, and others – pressed into the clay and highlighted with delicate color washes. The vases taper slightly at the base and are individually inscribed by the artist: "Petersham Nurseries, Wild Garden, 2017, Felicity Jones."
Felicity Jones is a British ceramic artist known for her hand-built stoneware pieces incorporating natural impressions and subtle botanical imagery. Her work often draws on seasonal foraging and site-specific collections, as seen in the “Wild Garden” series created in 2017 for Petersham Nurseries in Richmond. Each piece is made individually, using real plant material pressed into clay and finished with hand-applied oxides and glazes.
