Contemporary mixed media sculpture my Chinese artist Jin Zenghe. Titled "Pomegranate" it is a piece number 2 out of 8 from the limited edition created in 2010. A rough translation of the sculpture, provided by the artist: "Pomegranate bearing bright seeds," explains the idea of creation, yet, provides a room for the viewer's interpretation. Signed on the bottom of the base in Chinese.
Jin Zenghe (b.1973), a freelance artist from Anshan, Liaoning, is renowned for his fusion of Chinese tradition and modernity in sculpture. Trained at Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, he specializes in copper-painted fiberglass creations, including shadow puppets and Peking opera motifs. With accolades from prestigious exhibitions, such as the Lacquer Art Exhibition from Hemudu, Jin Zenghe's semi-open studio in Dashanzi's 798 Art District serves as a platform for promoting Chinese sculpture heritage.
