According to legend, Waddah was buried alive due to his romantic connection with the caliph's spouse. The piece centers around the relationship between Waddah and his beloved and ponders the poet's unexplained disappearance. The work is not only a depiction of a poetic love affair but a thought-provoking examination of the struggles faced by those who are oppressed.
