Life-size scale and color study for the monumental interior ornamentation of the Notre-Dame de Brebieres d'Albert basilica in Somme. The composition depicting an angel carrying a dove is one of several fragments, that were decorating the first bay of the church, starting from the choir, the so-called Chapel of the Virgin. The mounted canvases, painted by Dupas, were fixed in the basilica around October 1946.
Jean Theodore Dupas (1882–1964) was a French painter, artist, designer, poster artist, and decorator who worked in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements.
