Set of plaster intaglios framed under glass in a hexagonal frame covered with brown-and-blue marbled ‘Spanish wave’ paper. Each cameo is surmounted in brass and depicts Greco-Roman personalities and mythological scenes.

This collection includes oval intaglios with various profile portraits, as well as two square plates with figures of muses Erato (Poetry) and Terpsichore (Music).

Plaster Intaglios from the 19th Century are miniature souvenirs carried back by travelers on Grand Tours.
