A cubist cityscape painting by British artist James Arnold Martin. Depicts The Church of Our Lady, in Bruges, Belgium. Signed “N.Vame / Bruges / #2 / James Arnold Martin” on the backside of the panel.

James Arnold Martin was born in October 1931 in Southsea. He did his teacher training at Goldsmith's College in London and specialized in art and French. He later lived in Balham in South London but traveled widely. He taught in various schools in London whilst also creating his own work as an artist, theatre designer, ceramicist, and potter.
