About

A decorative crystal bowl center piece on a silver plated bronze base. The crystal is etched around the rim, which curves downwards. The stem is of a cherub (angel) holding up the bowl. This model is similar to models featured in WMF catalogue from 1906 under numbers #336 and #336a. Described as a fruit stand, with cut crystal “Tilly” glass and “Old Silver” finished base.

“WMF I/0” hallmark of the WMF brand (known as Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is visible on the base, and one more “I/o” mark is also placed on the base of the cherub figurine. The fraction “I/o” means the normal thickness of silver deposited on the surface of the base metal. Numbered “56” on the base verso.
