French Charles X mantel clock in sienna marble and superbly cast and finished patinated bronze mounts. The clock design shows the standing Vulcan, the Roman god of fire. The curved sub base is of marble front embellished with a mount featuring crossed hummer and arrow in laurel wreath. The base is adorned with foliage acanthus and rests on claw feet.

The dial is signed “Henri Robert à Paris”.
